Miami Children’s Hospital Welcomes New Kids Entertainment Room donated by AHT Residential

AHT Media Automation, Entertainment, Television Displays

Dateline November 2012- AHT Residential(AHT) is continuing its ongoing relationship with the Miami Children’s Hospital by generously donating high quality entertainment technologies. AHT is outfitting the Entertainment Room(Red and Blue Fun Room) with an 90 inch high definition TV with sound system, Xbox Kinnect, and sensory integration display panels. Red and Blue Fun Room is the latest upgrade for the Michael Fux Family Center(MFFC). This new additional space for the MFFC will be used as a fun place for all children but specially for children with special needs.

Children will play and participate on contests for X-box Kinnect, dancing sessions, families will be able to watch sports on this huge screen, do Zumba classes,  as well as watching movies when we have an overflow in the theater.

Children with disabilities will be able to have fun via interactive displays that are gesture and voice controlled. In addition to purchasing multi-sensory activity boards and lights, we are also planning to purchase Ground FX equipment, which produces visual effects on surfaces, tracks body position, and allows for children with special needs and also typical children to have real time interaction with images projected.

The creation and improvement of this center is a reminder of the importance of community minded giving.

The Michael Fux Family Center was opened in October 2009 with several Miami area luminaries, including Alonzo Morning, the Michael Fux family, and Mayor Rebeca Sosa, in attendance. The Michael Fux Family Center features a game room, kitchen, laundry area, and a deluxe 20-seat theater. The center and theater offer the patients and their families a place to feel more at home. The theater, with its five to six showings a day, is the centerpiece of this special center. AHT Residential donated the state-of-the-art movie theater working in collaboration with its partners Michael Fux and the John Arthur Design Group. With its convenient location right off the main lobby, the theater offers a welcome temporary distraction. The theater also contributes to the center’s homey feel.

AHT Residential installed the luxurious state-of-the-art movie theater. The 12-foot Family Censcreen offers a sharp picture and is complemented by the Meridian Digital Surround Sound System. The theater also boasts a Kaleidescape
Crestron Control System and Crestron Lighting Control System. The Michael Fux Family Center Theater provides the ultimate home theater experience right in the hospital.

AHT Residential strives to provide the best service to all its customers. The company has a commitment to adaptable technology and elegant design. The goal of AHT Residential and the Michael Fux Family Center is to provide a welcoming place for children battling illness and their families to go where they could feel at home, but still not leave the hospital grounds. The state-of-the-art movie theater is just one way to provide a sense of home, and escape from hospital life. The company’s goal is to make every client 100% satisfied. The theater for the children and their families is an example of our commitment to excellence.

Everyone has the ability to give back to the community.
