First and foremost, let it be stated, this is more then a TV. It’s the absolute ultimate in lifestyle technology. It’s engineering and craftsmanship at it’s most finest. It’s wow. It’s jaw dropping wow.

That being said, the C’Seed 201, engineered by the Porsche Design Studio, is a landscape display that sits dormant sealed in a water proof chamber buried 15 feet under the ground. To activate the display from hibernation, the user pushes a button from it’s fingerprint sensor remote control. Upon activation slots in the ground begin to open, and a square metal beam emerges rising up like something out of a Sci-fi movie. 7 folding LED displays begin to unfold to form a singular display. The height and 135 degree rotating angle can be set and adjusted by the user activating it. The total process, according to C’seed, takes a approximately 25 seconds from ground to fully functional display.

Now, after all the guests have been wowed by the apocalyptic event of the 201 inch TV raising out of the ground, the entertainment begins. The 16:9 display ratio is equipped with HD video transmission with a refresh rate at 100,000 Hz (500 times the performance of a standard TV).  As per the audio system, there are a total of 6 speakers enclosed within the display – three on the left and three on the right with the addition of three distortion free 700 W subwoofers for professional grade audio. There is also a built in media server operated by windows 7 software that makes it possible for all audio and video sources to be accessed. These could include a home’s kaleidescape players, blu-ray/DVD players, apple TV,  satellite/cable boxes, and music servers.

Key Takeaway: Without question, this display is the ultimate in lifestyle technology. If another James Bond movie comes out, the C’seed 201 should be in it!
