Robert Adler had numerous patents over his ninety six year life. His most significant of them all was the one that gave you the control. It was the modern day remote . Over the next several posts, we are going to review some of the more popular remotes, keypads and touch panels we use to develop a client’s AV control system. If it were not for Mr. Adler, who knows where the state of the remote would be today. I believe in giving respect when respect is due, and Mr. Adler deserves the admiration of the entire AV industry because without the remote, automation would be hard to control, and a whole industry may not even exist.
