- The Kaleidescape features a robust navigation system that stores your entire online library. It has a simple search function that narrows your movie options by selecting a specific actor, genre and other options. The Apple TV forces you to search through many different streaming services to try to find what your desired movie or program.
- The Kaleidescape stores all your content locally. This means if your internet connection is down you can still watch your movie collection. In addition, you do not need to worry about going over an arbitrary bandwidth cap from your internet service provider every time you watch a movie.
Both the Apple TV and Kaleidescape players have desirable features. In many cases, they are used in combination when we install a home entertainment system. Although the Kaleidescape system holds a higher price tag, it has many features that the Apple TV does not have.
