The lab is located at Crestron’s Rockleigh, NJ headquarters and represents a major and ongoing investment in researching and testing large scale residential systems. “We are essentially building a series of sizeable Crestron homes within our expansive engineering facilities so we can further understand and ensure the best end user experience”, said Crestron Chief Technology Officer, Fred Bargetzi.
The new lab combined with another 3,000 square feet in progress will be one of the largest home technology research & test labs in the industry with hundreds of user interfaces, lighting loads, shades, climate, DigitalMedia™, security, and all the latest AV sources that can be found in the modern connected home. As part of the testing procedures, all components are integrating and tied into a centralized control center that can be controlled using Crestron keypads, touch panels or mobile app.
